Circuit Court July 1, 1 p.m. Jeremy Mattox, judge Sentencing Katherine L. Jennings, 32, of Lawrenceburg, was placed on three years pretrial diversion for first-degree possession of a controlled substance. If Jennings successfully completes diversion, the felony charge will be dismissed, and she will not serve a three-year prison sentence. Ron Brandon Justice, 35, of Frankfort, was placed on five years probation for receiving stolen property (over $500), second-degree fleeing or evading police (misdemeanor), third-degree criminal mischief (misdemeanor) and first-degree persistent felony offender. A five-year prison sentence as suspended. Ricardo Ramirez, 35, of Versailles, was placed on two years probation after pleading guilty to an amended charge of first-degree criminal attempt to possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor). A 12-month jail sentence was suspended. A charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance was dismissed. David Daniel Demond Thompson, 22, of Louisville, was placed on two years probation after pleading guilty to fourth-degree assault (misdemeanor). A 12-month jail sentence was suspended. A charge of convicted felon in possession of a handgun was dismissed. Police Reports Non-traffic reports were unavailable Tuesday afternoon. On June 25 at 9 p.m., Nathaniel T. Hudson, 32, was riding a Kawasaki ZX-1000 on Fords Mill Road near Cox-Howard Road when he left the road and struck a fence. He was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On June 26 at 10:55 p.m., a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Caleb M. Florence, 22, of Lexington, was northbound on Pisgah Pike when he left the right side of the road in a left-hand curve at Fire Gate 39, reentered the road, crossed both lanes, and struck a large tree. He was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police said alcohol involvement is suspected as a factor in the crash. On June 28 at 6:40 a.m., a Toyota Camry driven by Ryan P. Murphy, 21, of Louisville, was southbound on Leestown Road. He told police he fell asleep at the wheel, drove off the right shoulder, overcompensated and left the west side of the road before striking a tree. He was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Fire Reports City Firefighters made three EMS assists from June to July 6. On July 1, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries on Tyrone Pike. On June 2, they responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of South Main Street and Berry Avenue, checked a controlled burn on Dan Court, and assisted with a diesel fuel spill clean-up in a creek near Camden Avenue. On July 3, they returned to the fuel spill site for more clean-up and responded to a fire alarm on Green Street and an electrical problem in a Macey Avenue home. On July 4, they checked a controlled burn on McDavid Drive and responded to a report of a natural gas odor at McDonald’s caused by a broken sewer cap. On July 5, they responded to an alarm on Seth Drive and assisted the Madison County and Richmond fire departments with a mulch and heavy equipment fire in Madison County.

County Firefighters made two EMS assists from June 30 to July 6. On June 30, they responded to a vehicle accident on I-64 East. On July 1, they responded to a house fire on Westwood Court. On July 2, they responded to a false alarm on Kidds Mill Road. On July 3, the responded to a vehicle accident on Tyrone Pike. On July 4, they responded to a vehicle accident on Pinckard Pike. On July 5, they checked a controlled burn on Deerfield Drive. On July 6, they checked a controlled burn on West Leestown Road and responded to a house fire on Eureka Road and a false alarm on Sheffield Drive.
