Misdemeanors Alcohol intoxication in a public place – Adam D. Duran, Lexington, $200.50; Robert A. Richard, 272 Church Street, combined with disorderly conduct, time served with credit. Violation of Kentucky EPO – Daryl J. Greenlee, 228 Clifton Road, $185.50 plus time served with credit. Local county ordinance -- Aliyah Ellis, 4858 West Leestown Road, $200.50. Circuit Court July 15, 1 p.m. Brian Privett, judge Sentencing Kathy Kincaid, 56, of Versailles, was placed on two years probation and ordered to pay $690 restitution for theft by unlawful taking (under $500/misdemeanor). A 12-month jail sentence was suspended. Amy Skaggs, 49, of Clayton, NC, was placed on three years probation after pleading guilty to public intoxication (misdemeanor), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). An 18-month prison sentence was suspended. Braxton Lane Williams, 20, of Lexington, was placed on three years pretrial diversion for trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and no operator’s/moped license (misdemeanor). If Williams successfully completes diversion, the felony charge will be dismissed, and he will not serve a three-year prison sentence.

Pleas Jordan Hartgrove, 29, of Mount Sterling, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (misdemeanor), trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces), first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). The commonwealth recommended 18 months in prison (to serve four days), a $200 fine and 45 days operator’s license suspension. Kevin W. Spurlock, 39, of Winchester, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance. The commonwealth recommended 18 months in prison.

Police Reports Versailles police responded to five vehicle accidents involving injuries, 27 non-injury accidents, one domestic-related complaint, issued two citations/summonses and made one arrest. On July 2 at 3:18 p.m., a Harley-Davidson FLK ridden by Gerald E. Ramsey, 30, of 41 Woodson Drive, was northbound on South Main Street just past Berry Avenue. Others he was riding with said traffic ahead had stopped, and Ramsey had to lay the bike down. On July 3 at 5:51 p.m., a Saturn SL driven by Randal O. Holman, 53, of 60 Westgate Court, was eastbound on Tyrone Pike when it left the road and struck several bushes. Holman told police he’d taken his grandmother’s car without her knowledge and had been drinking alcohol. He was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS. On July 6 at 6:53 p.m., a Volvo VNL driven by Emir Falzic, 42, of Rossville, Ga., a Mercedes GLE driven by Donald M. Remy, 53, of Zionsville, Ind., and a Honda Pilot driven by Linda D. Wendt, 63, of Louisville, were westbound on I-64 approaching slowed traffic. Remy told police that he saw the Volvo approaching him from behind at a high rate of speed and tried to avoid it. The Volvo struck Remy’s vehicle and the Pilot. Falzic claimed Remy’s vehicle struck his trailer. Police said Falzic’s vehicle was not under proper control. Franklin County EMS responded to the scene. On July 7 at 10:10 p.m., a Honda Accord driven by Joshua D. Miller, 17, of Lebanon, was westbound on the Bluegrass Parkway when it went off the left side of the road, then crossed over both lanes and off the right shoulder and overturned. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Woodford County Coroner’s Office. On July 10 at 4:20 p.m., a vehicle driven by Emily Jetton, 17, of 232 Locust Grove Way, was southbound on Pinckard Pike when it left the right side of the road. Police say Jetton’s vehicle struck three plank fences. She was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS. Police say her vehicle was not under proper control. On July 17, two gas cans worth a total of $10 were reported found outside Bluegrass Community Hospital. On July 20, harassing communications were reported at an Ashley Place home. On July 20, speeding, fleeing or evading police and first-degree wanton endangerment were reported on Frankfort Road. On July 17, a Nintendo Switch and other items worth $450 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Tuscan Way. On July 17, an Allegiant credit card was reported stolen from a vehicle on Hunters Ridge Drive. On July 17, a car outlet adaptor worth $10 was reported stolen from a home on Chestnut Lane. On July 18, police made an arrest on Macey Avenue for possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine. On July 17, two windbreaker jackets $100 were reported stolen on Gleneagles Way. On July 17, a Kentucky Bank credit card was reported stolen from a vehicle on Tuscan Way. On July 17, a driver’s license and leather pocketbook worth $10 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Tuscan Way. On July 17, harassment (physical contact) was reported on Royal Ridge Court. On July 17, a citation/summons was issued at a field off School House Road for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. On July 17, $58 in cash and a Garmin GPS device worth $25 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Venetian Way. On July 17, a wallet, operator’s license and other items worth $350 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Tim Tam Trail. On July 17, a North Face jacket worth $50 was reported stolen on Gleneagles Way. On July 17, an Apple Macbook and iPad worth $1,375 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Eagle Crest Drive. On July 16, a 2015 Buick Lacrosse worth $19,900 and handgun worth $549 were reported stolen on Eagle Crest Drive. On July 16, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident in the Woodford Family Physicians parking lot that caused $1,000 in damage to a Honda Accord. On July 16, harassing communications were reported at an Elliston Lane home. On July 14, theft by deception (includes cold checks) was reported at a Secretariat Circle home. On July 16, a Glock handgun worth $500 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Southland Drive. On July 16, a Smith & Wesson handgun worth $579 was reported stolen from a home on Flint Ridge Road. On July 14, theft of a debit card (mislaid or delivered by mistake) was reported on Lexington Street. On July 14, a boat motor with throttle worth $1,500 was reported stolen from a Foraker Road home. On July 14, police issued a citation for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driver of a motor vehicle using a hand-held phone. On July 14, an emotional support Boxer dog worth $200 was reported stolen from a South Main Street home. Fire Reports City Versailles firefighters made seven EMS assists from July 14 to July 20. On July 15, they responded to a fire alarm at Versailles Baptist Church and a gas leak on Crossfield Drive. On July 16, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of South Main Street and Stourbridge Road and investigated a carbon monoxide incident on Loy Street. On July 17, they responded to a house fire on Hillcrest Drive and a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Falling Springs Boulevard and South Hill Road. On July 18, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Marsailles Road.

County Firefighters made one EMS assist from July 14 to July 20. On July 14, they performed a smoke detector investigation on Eureka Drive. On July 15, they responded to a false heat detector alarm on Pisgah Pike. On July 18, they responded to a faulty smoke detector on Berry Avenue. On July 19, they checked a controlled burn on Tincher Drive. On July 20, they checked a controlled burn on Frankfort Road, a report of a grass fire on U.S. 60 West, and responded to a vehicle accident on Colony Drive.
