Logan


Joyce Baldwin Logan, 85, wife of Charles Logan, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020. She was a native of Midway, born on Aug. 24, 1934 to the late Elmo and Martha Belle Baldwin. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and cousin. Joyce was a generous friend. She was always cooking, baking, sending cards, and making gifts for others. Joyce graduated from Midway High School, where she was a conscientious student and cheerleader. She was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Joyce was still making friends of her wonderful caregivers in her last days. They loved her immediately. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, June (Jerry) Ann Hill, Beverley Logan and Chuck Logan; her sister, Shirley (Joe) Baldwin Sames; her grandchildren, Martha (Kevin) Morgan Carroll, Jacob (Anna) Logan Hill and Annie Hutcherson; great-granddaughters, Kate Carroll and Maggie Lou Carroll; as well as many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James (Nancy) Lewis Baldwin and Jerry (Sue) Lee Baldwin. A private graveside service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Building Fund.
