Michael Benson, aka Heath Guyot, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. Michael was born in Bangor, Maine, and lived in Minnesota, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois, making many friends along the way. Michael was a successful wrestler, having won two state high school wrestling titles representing Woodford County, and participating in college nationals in 1996. He wrestled for Purdue University and Ohio University. Michael also enjoyed the arts – drawing and photography were his favorites. He is survived by his father, Fred J. Benson, Nicholasville; sisters, Karen (Jason) S. Hartmann, Blaine, Minnesota; and Anne (Thomas) R. Pairan, Chillicothe, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Benson Hartmann, Olivia Hartmann, Jonathan Pairan, Nicholas Pairan, Joanna Noelle Pairan and Abigail Pairan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda L. Benson; his mother, Sue G. Benson; and grandparents, Fred and Stella Benson, and William and Annie Guyot. No public services were held.
