Geraldine Wethington Woodrum, 85, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020. The widow of Melvin T. Woodrum, Geraldine was born on Jan. 10, 1935 to the late Vince and Etta Wethington in Clementsville. Geraldine is survived by her children, Rita (James) Allen, Frankfort; Freda (Dennis) Whitaker; Monica Keeton, both of Versailles, Marsha Wells; Marie (Richard) Kirk, both of Frankfort; Archie Woodrum, Harrodsburg; Joe (Becky) Woodrum, Lawrenceburg; Jeff (Trish) Woodrum, Midway; and Angela (Johnie) Tudor, Nicholasville; a sister, Mary Frances Phillips, Ohio; a brother, Phillip Wethington, Georgia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Melvin T. Woodrum, and parents, Vince and Etta Wethington, Geraldine was preceded in death by a daughter, Verlina Montgomery and son, David Woodrum. Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville, with Fr. George Otuma officiating. Burial followed in the St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Whitaker, Melvin Montgomery, Tyler Woodrum, Joe Woodrum, Scott Woodrum and Archie Woodrum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
