Glenda Portwood Penn, 74, wife of David Penn, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.

Born on June 27, 1946, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Portwood and Ruby Dearringer Fint. She was a member of Millville Baptist Church, retired bus driver for over 27 years for the Woodford County schools and an active member of the Millville Sportsman Club.

In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by a daughter, Delana Penn Moore, Salvisa; a son, David (Kim) A. Penn, Millville; six grandchildren, Destiny (Michael) Parker, Ashley Nicole Penn, Darryl Wayne Penn, all of Frankfort; Grant Penn, Adam Penn and Andrew Penn, all of Millville; eight great-grandchildren, Melanie, Liam, Brody, Dakota, Colton, Brantley, Branson and Aiden, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Darryl Wayne Penn; and a brother, Andrew Woody Fint.

A graveside service was held Wednesday Oct. 28, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Jim Ison. Pallbearers were Grant Penn, Adam Penn, Andrew Penn, Daryl Wayne Penn, Michael Parker and Paul Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Randall Berger, Mike Crawford and William Harden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Huntington’s Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
