Baurle

Henry Elwood Baurle, 76, of Versailles, husband of Wanda Faye Sparkman, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Georgetown Community Hospital.
Born on March 25, 1944, in Louisville, he was the son the late Mary Edna Baurle Spencer. He was a 1962 New Albany High School graduate and B-52 radar technician in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was stationed in Blytheville, Arkansas and Thailand. He worked for 43 years for Simplex Time Recorder (Simplex Grinnell/Tyco), where he worked on Lexington Center/Rupp Arena, Kentucky Horse Park and Fifth Third Financial Center in downtown Lexington, as well as hundreds of smaller projects. He installed and maintained the systems at Cardinal Hill Hospital, UK Medical Center and college and VA Hospital. He was a member of the American Legion and Woodford Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a daughter, Michele Baurle Heightchew, Versailles; a granddaughter, Braelyn Heightchew; a grandson Teagan Heightchew; and a sister, Sandra (Larry) Whelan, New Albany, Indiana. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father, Robert Spencer, and five siblings, Patricia Ann, Gary Wayne, Richard Lee, Michael Ray and Jeffrey Lynn Spencer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 11, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks are required.
