Holbrook

Timothy Holbrook, 65, husband of Shirley Holbrook, died Friday, April

23, 2021, at Baptist Health, Lexington.

Born on May 4, 1955, in Pikeville, he was the son of the late Howard and

Clara Geneva Vitatoe Holbrook. He was a 1973 graduate of Somerset High

School.

In addition to his wife of 15 years, he is survived by two children,

Amanda Holbrook and Brandon Holbrook, both of Versailles; three

stepchildren, Lucy (Alan) Houp, Nicholasville; Julie (Chester) Asher and

Daniel Hopper, both of Barbourville; eight grandchildren, Austin,

Maleah, Maddie, Carson, Clay, Brittany, Corey and Dylan; three

great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Brooklyn and Brody; four siblings, Stanley

(Gloria) Holbrook, Lexington; Gail (Ken) Childers, Midlothian, Virginia;

Norma Holbrook, Morehead; and Sharon (John) Hinkle, Pinehurst, North

Carolina

; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he

was preceded in death by two siblings, Jackie Amburgey and Hubert “Sam”

Holbrook.

Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Thursday, April 29, at

Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Roger Meece, David

Meece, Rich Meece, Chester Abner, Alan Houp and Junior Burton. Honorary

pallbearers will be Brian Clayton, Jerry Meece, Brian Jewell, Jimmy

Howard Holbrook, Brandon Hinkle, Judd Hinkle and Sean Childers.

Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
