McManaway


Doris Lancaster McManaway, 91, wife of Edward McManaway, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021.

Born on Nov. 22, 1929, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Rose Hardesty Lancaster.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Carter, Versailles; and Lana Gabbard, North Carolina; a sister, Ann Routt, Versailles; a brother, Jerry Lancaster, Versailles; and four grandchildren, Rebecca Herpick, Lydia Gabbard, Madeleine Gabbard and Charlotte Gabbard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Lancaster.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Versailles Cemetery, by Pastor Michael Cabel. Pallbearers were Scott Lancaster, Griff Reed, Roy Wayne Lancaster, Mark Cress, Jason Thompson and Justin Zielke. Honorary pallbearer was Ron Mitchell.
