Linda Lou Turner Moore, 70, wife of Larry Moore, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at the Bluegrass Community Hospital. Born on Sept. 27, 1950, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late John Russell and Mary Lou Bretz Turner. She was a 1968 graduate of Woodford County High School and worked for United Bank. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Amy Bailey (Joseph Florence), Paris; and Robin Hartley, Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Amber Lynn Bailey, Blaine Bailey and Tyler Hartley, all of Versailles; a sister-in-law, Sheila Turner, Lawrenceburg; and a brother-in-law, Floyd Stratton, Lawrenceburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Sue Stratton; and a brother, Steve Russell Turner. A private service will be held today, Thursday, Jan. 14, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Hartley, Tyler Hartley, Blaine Bailey, Leon Turner, James S. Moore and Joey Florence. Honorary pallbearers will be James L. Moore Jr., Floyd Stratton and Jackie Brown. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Due to mandates by the governor, those attending services are required to wear proper facial coverings, follow social distancing guidelines and adhere to the facilities occupancy limit. Webcasting of the service will be available on her obituary page after 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14.
