Arraignments

Justin C. Hager, 31, of Frankfort, pleaded not guilty to receiving

stolen property ($10,000 or more).

Michael L. Ramirez, 33, of Lexington, pleaded not guilty to first-degree

possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia

(misdemeanor) and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license

(misdemeanor).

Nicole Tower, 42, of Milwaukee, Wisc., pleaded not guilty to

first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree assault (police/probation

officer), first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle),

third-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, operating a motor vehicle

on a suspended/revoked operator’s license (misdemeanor), theft by

unlawful taking (under $500), reckless driving (violation), no/expired

registration plates (violation) and failure of owner to maintain

required insurance (second or greater offense/misdemeanor).


Dismissed

Trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to less than 5 pounds) and possession

of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) charges against Chasitie Jeane

Bryant, 25, of Frankfort, were dismissed without prejudice.


Police Reports

Versailles police responded to three motor vehicle accidents involving

injuries, 12 non-injury accidents, issued one citation/summons and made

four arrests.

On May 4 at 3:50 p.m., a Honda CRV driven by Dianne P. Scott, 58, of

Frankfort, was southbound on Frankfort Street when it slowed at the

railroad tracks and was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by

Davi Gutierez, 15, of 4225 Troy Pike. A passenger in Scott’s vehicle,

Gale Powers, 78, of 100 Wheaton Drive, was taken to Bluegrass Community

Hospital. Gutierez was cited for no operator’s/moped license.

On May 5 at 10:58 p.m., a Ford Ecosport driven by Samantha S. Sloan, 40,

of 435 Duell Drive, was eastbound on McDonald Drive approaching Duell

Drive when she struck a utility pole near the stop sign at that

intersection. Police say Sloan first said she tried to take a curve too

fast, then said another motor vehicle ran her off the road. She was

charged with DUI.

On May 11 at 6:55 a.m., a Ford Focus RS driven by Luke E. Keller, 35, of

Lawrenceburg, was northbound on Steele Road. He said he swerved to avoid

a vehicle in the middle of the road, left the road, came back, crossed

both lanes and struck a tree. The unidentified driver of the other

vehicle said both vehicles swerved. Keller was taken to UK Chandler

Hospital.

On May 15, police made an arrest at a Simmons Street home for

second-degree indecent exposure, resisting arrest, third-degree

terroristic threatening, menacing and disorderly conduct.

On May 15, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for operating a motor

vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance, possession of

marijuana and no operator’s/moped license.

On May 15, a black utility trailer worth $2,000 was reported stolen from

a Roberts Road home.

On May 15, a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor was reported vandalized on Tyrone

Pike and a $325 key to the SUV was reported stolen.

On May 14, factory wheels and tires worth $2,000 were reported stolen

from a Red Oak Trail home.

On May 11, hydrocodone and gabapentin were reported stolen from an Elm

Street home.

On May 11, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on

Marsailles Road that damaged a Jeep Cherokee.

On May 11, a citation/summons was issued on Lexington Road for

possession of heroin and tampering with physical evidence.

On May 11, identity theft was reported on Kroger Way.

On May 12, an orange hammock worth $219 was reported stolen on South

Turner Street in Midway.

On May 12, police made an arrest in a field off Big Sink Road for

violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.

On May 12, a 2004 Ford Taurus was reported vandalized on Douglas Avenue.

On May 11, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for possession of

marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Fire Reports

City

Firefighters made seven EMS assists and installed a car seat in one

vehicle from May 11 to 17.

On May 13, they responded to a vehicle fire on Frankfort Street.

On May 14, they responded to a trash fire at a home on McDonald Drive

and a malfunctioning smoke detector activation in a home on Prairie Rose

Way.

Firefighters made four EMS assists from May 11 to 17.

On May 11, they responded to a vehicle accident on Steele Road.

On May 12, they responded to a vehicle accident on Troy Pike.

On May 13, they responded to a house fire on Tincher Drive and checked a

controlled burn on Scotts Ferry Road West.

On May 15, they responded to a vehicle accident on the Bluegrass Parkway

West.

On May 16, they responded to an odor scare on Oregon Road, a vehicle

accident on Pinckard Pike and a chimney fire on Shannon Run Road.
