Police Reports

Versailles police responded to three vehicle accidents involving

injuries, 22 non-injury accidents, issued three citations/summonses and

made two arrests.

On May 12 at 8:05 a.m., a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Nicole Toll, 48, of

Frankfort, rear-ended a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Bruce Mangione,

45, of 527 Sheffield Drive, on the Bluegrass Parkway East. Toll said she

thought Mangione’s vehicle was stopping in the road; Mangione said he

was traveling at a normal speed. Woodford EMS responded.

On May 15 at 10:10 a.m., a Kawasaki VN-2000 driven by Terry J. Silver,

51, of Paducah, was eastbound on the Bluegrass Parkway with a group of

motorcycle riders while a Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Brandon K. Hogan, 36,

of Leitchfield was westbound. Hogan said he saw Silver’s motorcycle

cross the median and both of its occupants ejected. Silver and his

passenger, Tiffany J. Shrewsberry, 45, of Hopkinsville, were taken to UK

Chandler Hospital.

On May 23 at 1:10 p.m., a Kawasaki KLR-650 driven by Bailey Hudson, 23,

of 535 Sheffield Drive, was northbound on Paynes Mill Road when Hudson

lost control in a right-hand turn, left the road and struck wooden posts

and a wire fence and came to rest in a field. He was taken to UK

Chandler Hospital.

On May 20, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on

Altamont Court that damaged a Kia Optima.

On May 19, a blue suitcase with clothing samples worth $1,000 were

reported stolen from the Midway Boutique.

On May 20, harassment (no physical contact) was reported at a home on

Laval Heights.

On May 24, a Ford F-150 was reported vandalized at an Industry Road

industrial site, with damage estimated at $80.

On May 23, a Glock handgun worth $500 was reported stolen from a Mack

Street home.

On May 23, harassment (physical contact, no injury) was reported on

Huntertown Road.

On May 23, third-degree terroristic threatening was reported at a

Shepherds Trace home.

On May 23, Marlboro cigarettes worth $6 were reported stolen from a

Lexington Street convenience store.

On May 23, tree stumps were reported dumped in a field off Cummins Ferry

Road.

On May 23, a citation/summons was issued on Paynes Mill Road for

second-degree fleeing or evading police, no operator’s/moped license and

speeding.

On May 16, police made an arrest at a home on Clifton Road for violation

of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.

On May 19, police made an arrest at a Markham Drive store for alcohol

intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest and possession of a

controlled substance.

On May 20, a citation/summons was issued on Linden Drive for possession

of marijuana.

On May 15, $18,000 in cash was reported stolen from a home on Oxford Road.

On May 17, possession of drug paraphernalia was reported at a home on

North Locust Street.

On May 18, two forged checks worth a total of $250 were reported at a

Lexington Street convenience store.

On May 18, a citation/summons was issued on Lexington Road for

possession of marijuana and speeding.


Fire Reports

City

Firefighters made seven EMS assists and installed a car seat in one

vehicle from May 18 to 24.

On May 19, they responded to a smoke odor in a Park Street day care center.

On May 23, they responded to a natural gas odor near the pedway behind

Woodford County High School.


County

Firefighters made six EMS assists and installed a car seat in one

vehicle from May 18 to 24.

On May 18, they responded to a false alarm on Gleneagles Way caused by

burnt food.

On May 19, they checked a controlled burn off U.S. 60.

On May 20, they responded to a false alarm on Dry Ridge Road and a car

fire on Bluegrass Parkway East.

On May 22, they checked controlled burns off Versailles Road and Tincher

Drive and responded to a carbon monoxide detector activation on Chestnut

Lane.

On May 23, they responded to a vehicle accident on Paynes Mill Road and

a fuel spill on Tyrone Pike.
