District Court There was no court held the week of Jan. 18. Police Reports Versailles police responded to three vehicle accidents involving injuries, 25 non-injury accidents and made three arrests. On Jan. 13 at 3 p.m., a trailer on the back of a Ford F-250 driven by Jeremiah S. Young, 54, of 448 Wilson Avenue, came loose from the truck and struck a Ford F-250 driven by Michael G. Dotson, 46, of 3200 Lexington Road in the parking lot of Woodford Feed. Dotson told police he was getting a coat from his truck when Young’s vehicle struck him and propelled him into the air. Young told police he thought he’d put the pin in the trailer hitch, but it wasn’t found. Dotson was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On Jan. 17 at 2:05 p.m., a Volkswagen Passat driven by Amy Carlson, 38, of Louisville, was westbound on U.S. 60 when she lost control and struck a concrete mailbox. Woodford County EMS responded to the scene. On Jan. 18 at 1:30 p.m., a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Jaquin A. Johnson, 18, of Lexington, was westbound on U.S. 60 and rear-ended a Honda CR-V driven by Jason C. Shepherd, 46, of Louisville, that was stopped at a red light at Paddock Drive. Shepherd’s vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a Ford F-250 driven by Robert E. Byrge, 56, of 141 Cleveland Avenue. Johnson and a passenger in Byrge’s vehicle, Brian D. Blackburn, 59, of the same address, were taken to UK Chandler Hospital. On Jan. 23, Dewalt tools worth $1,000 were reported stolen from a home on Morgan Street. On Jan. 23, a mountain bike and scooter worth a total of $430 were reported stolen near a dumpster in the Lexington Road Plaza. On Jan. 22, $1,000 in cash was reported stolen from a home on Douglas Avenue. On Jan. 22, 30 shingles worth $914.40 were reported stolen from a High Street home. On Jan. 19, identity theft was reported at Jack Kain Ford. On Jan. 19, police made an arrest on Dan Drive on an out-of-state fugitive warrant for possession of methamphetamine. On Jan. 19, police made an arrest on Tyrone Pike for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and traffic violations. On Jan. 20, possession of marijuana, DUI and traffic violations were reported on Shannon Run Road. On Jan. 20, first-degree criminal trespassing and alcohol intoxication in a public place were reported at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. On Jan. 21, a Honda motor scooter worth $2,000 was reported stolen from a home on South Main Street. On Jan. 19, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Church Street. Fire Reports City Firefighters made five EMS assists and installed a car seat in one vehicle from Jan. 19 to Jan. 25. On Jan. 19, they made a forcible entry on Mack Street to assist with a health concern. On Jan. 20, they responded to a natural gas leak in a Berry Avenue home and assisted in missing persons search in the Locust Grove area. On Jan. 21, they responded to a fire alarm on Beacon Hill Drive. On Jan. 23, they responded to a fire alarm at the old Versailles Police Department building. On Jan. 24, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of High Street and Falling Springs Boulevard. On Jan. 25, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Industry Drive and the U.S. 60 Bypass.
