Arraignment Robert Austin Gatlin, 34, Versailles, pleaded not guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and public intoxication (misdemeanor). Feb. 3, 1 p.m. Jeremy Mattox, judge Sentencing Logan Cotterell, 23, of Versailles, was sentenced to nine years in prison for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Arraignment Cheryl Elaine Smith, 41, of Frankfort, pleaded not guilty to first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (misdemeanor), possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) and failure to or improper signal (violation). Police Reports Versailles police responded to one double fatality vehicle accident, one domestic-related complaint, issued two citations/summonses and made four arrests. On Feb. 3, they responded to a double fatality on West Leestown Pike. (See story on this page) On Feb. 6, fraudulent use of a credit card was reported at a Woodson Drive home. On Feb. 7, police made an arrest on Frankfort Road for fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and other traffic violations. On Feb. 5, a hay spear worth $489.97 was reported stolen from a home on Shannon Run Road. On Feb. 6, police made an arrest at a Milner Road home for violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO. On Feb. 5, $72 worth of hydrocodone was reported stolen from a Berry Avenue home. On Feb. 5, a citation/summons was issued on Lexington Road for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. On Feb. 4, identity theft was reported on North Main Street. On Jan. 30, the shoplifting of $16.77 was reported at a convenience store on Green Gables Drive in Midway. On Feb. 3, a Chevrolet Silverado was reported vandalized on Princess Circle, with damage estimated at $100. On Feb. 3, police made an arrest on Merewood Drive for possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. On Feb. 2, a Hyundai zero turn mower worth $6,000 was reported stolen from a Scotts Ferry Road home. On Jan. 27, a violation of registered sex offender residence restrictions was reported at a Russell Avenue home. Fire Reports City Firefighters made five EMS assists and installed a car seat in one vehicle from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8. On Feb. 3, they assisted with a lock-in on Oak Street. On Feb. 6, the responded to a dumpster fire on Dan Drive. On Feb. 8, they responded to a natural gas odor at Morgan and South Locust streets.

County Firefighters made three EMS assists from Feb. 1 to Feb. 8. On Feb. 1, they responded to vehicle accidents at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Midway Road and Old Frankfort Pike and Faywood Lane. On Feb. 2, they responded to two false alarms on McCracken Pike and a vehicle accident on Chestnut Lane. On Feb. 3, they responded to vehicle accidents on Leestown Road, the intersection of Kentucky 33 and the Bluegrass Parkway, Midway Road and Leestown Road and a vehicle fire on Steele Road. On Feb. 4, they responded to a vehicle accident on I-64. On Feb. 5, they responded to a false alarm on Lexington Road. On Feb. 6, they responded to a vehicle accident on Fords Mill Road.
