Police Reports

Versailles police responded to one vehicle accident with injuries, 19

non-injury accidents and made three arrests.

On March 22 at 3:52 p.m., a Ford Focus RS driven by Autumn M. Jones, 18,

of Corbin was westbound on I-64 near the mile marker 65 when it was

rear-ended by a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Jordan E. Soward, 24,

of Louisville. Soward said he looked down, then up as he struck the

Focus. Both drivers were taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

On March 23, police made an arrest on Carter Lane for leaving the scene

of an accident, prescription controlled substance not in a proper

container and other traffic violations.

On April 5, identity theft was reported by an East Scotts Ferry Road

On April 3, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for tampering with

physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and

traffic violations.

On April 2, identity theft was reported by a Sea Hero Run resident.

On March 29, two trash cans worth a total of $60 were reported stolen

from a home on Morgan Street.

On April 1, police made an arrest on Macey Boulevard for possession of

methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to or

improper signal.

On March 31, theft by deception involving $85 stolen through PayPal was

reported at a home on Pinckard Pike.

On March 26, identity theft was reported by a Berry Avenue resident.

On March 29, an unemployment check was reported stolen at a Woodson

Drive home.

Fire Reports


Firefighters made six EMS assists and installed a car seat in one

vehicle from March 30 to April 5.

On March 31, an EMS run to Bryanwood Drive was cancelled en route and

firefighters responded to a smoke detector activation at Sheridan

Kentucky (formerly Quad/Graphics).

On April 1, they responded to a smoke scare at Cornerstone Pharmacy.


Firefighters made four EMS assists from March 30 to April 5.

On March 31, they responded to vehicle accidents on McCracken Pike, U.S.

60 East and Pinckard Pike; a false alarm caused by burnt food on

Ravenwood Road and a false alarm on McCracken Pike.

On April 1, they responded to a house fire on Deerhaven Drive and two

hot spots there.

On April 2, they responded to vehicle accidents on Midway and Old

Clifton roads and a smoke scare on Locust Grove Lane.

On April 3, they responded to a vehicle accident on U.S. 60 at the

Bluegrass Parkway.

On April 5, they responded to an overheated furnace on Pisgah Pike and a

vehicle fire on Shady Lane.
