Police Reports Versailles police responded to two motor vehicle accidents involving injuries, nine non-injury accidents, two domestic-related complaints, issued one citation/summons and made three arrests. On Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m., a Honda Odyssey driven by Gloria J. Hawkins, 68, of Frankfort, was westbound on the U.S. 60 Bypass approaching Midway Road while a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Haleigh A. Hamilton, 19, of Nicholasville, was turning left from Midway Road onto the bypass. The Odyssey struck the Town & Country. Hawkins, who was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital, said she saw the light turn red and hit her brakes, but was unable to stop. On Nov. 6 at 6:06 p.m., a Jeep Patriot driven by Howard L. Michael, 31, of 240 High Street, was stopped in traffic at the light at Troy Pike and Falling Springs Boulevard while a Toyota Prius driven by Olha Karnaukhova, 25, of 224 Cheney Road, was on Falling Springs Boulevard, preparing to turn right onto Troy Pike. Karnaukhova told police she had the green light and while trying to turn, her vehicle slid and struck Michael’s. Woodford EMS responded to the scene. On Nov. 28, police made an arrest at Kroger for the shoplifting of $17.75 of merchandise. On Nov. 29, police issued a summons/citation on Falling Springs Boulevard for possession of marijuana and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license. On Nov. 28, police made an arrest on Falling Springs Boulevard for second-degree promoting contraband, possession of marijuana and several traffic violations. On Nov. 27, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Troy Pike. On Nov. 28, police made an arrest on Oak Street in Midway for DUI. On Nov. 27, a Cadillac SRX worth $25,000 and a Ford F-150 worth $15,000 were reported stolen on Crossfield Drive. On Nov. 28, third-degree terroristic threatening, menacing and $500 in vandalism to a steel door were reported at a St. Clair Street home. On Nov. 25, first-degree wanton endangerment was reported in a field off Scotts Ferry Road. On Nov. 25, identity theft was reported at a home on Breckenridge Drive. On Nov. 24, theft by extortion was reported on South Main Street. On Nov. 23, receiving stolen property (a GMC Sierra worth $8,000) was reported in a field off McCracken Pike. On Nov. 23, third-degree burglary was reported at a Lexington Road rental storage facility. On Nov. 23, harassing communications were reported on North Main Street. On Nov. 19, theft by deception involving five E-Bay gift cards worth $300 was reported at a home on Tincher Drive. On Nov. 23, a pole saw worth $499 was reported stolen on the U.S. 60 Bypass. On Nov. 23, a Whirlpool electronic control board worth $275.60 was reported stolen from a Rose Hill Avenue home. Fire Reports City Firefighters made seven EMS assists from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30. On Nov. 24, they climbed a tree on Macey Avenue to help an allegedly intoxicated person get down. On Nov. 25, they responded to a fire alarm at a home on School House Road. On Nov. 27, they responded to a malfunctioning carbon monoxide detector at a home on Rose Hill Avenue.

County On Nov. 23, they responded to a vehicle accident on I-64 East, helped extricate a pig stuck in the front seat of a van on I-64 West, and performed a natural gas investigation on Old Frankfort Pike. On Nov. 29, they checked a controlled burn on Lynnwood Drive. On Nov. 30, they responded to vehicle accidents on the Bluegrass Parkway, Old Frankfort Pike and U.S. 60 East and a house fire on Delaney Ferry Road.
