Misdemeanors Criminal trespassing, third-degree – Juan J. Jackson, Lexington, combined with alcohol intoxication in a public place and assault, third-degree (peace officer non-communicable bodily fluid), $143 plus time served. Alcohol intoxication in a public place – Joshua D. Huff, 141 Macey Avenue, combined with resisting arrest and third-degree terroristic threatening, $185.50 plus two days with credit. Circuit Court Jan. 13, 1 p.m. Brian Privett, judge Sentencing Anthony Jacob Egbert, 35, of Versailles, was fined $200 and ordered to pay a total of $730, and his operator’s license was suspended for 30 days after he pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (misdemeanor). Under the plea agreement, the commonwealth agreed to defer prosecution on a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled possession (felony) for five years.

Arraignments David Cecil, 55, of Lexington, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana (less than five pounds, enhancement). Michael F. Miller, 44, of Lexington, pleaded not guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), failure to or improper signal (violation), failure to wear seatbelts (violation) and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license (misdemeanor). David W. Shaw, 45, of Lexington, pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property ($10,000 or more), possession of burglary tools (misdemeanor) and first-degree persistent felony offender. Police Reports Versailles police responded to five non-injury vehicle accidents, one domestic-related complaint, issued two citations/summonses and made three arrests. On Jan. 18, a citation/summons was issued at a Beech Street home for possession of marijuana. On Jan. 18, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Pinckard Pike that caused $750 in damaged to a telephone pole. On Jan. 16, police made an arrest on South Locust Street for DUI, possession of cocaine and reckless driving. On Dec. 29, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations. On Jan. 15, a 10-foot utility trailer worth $800 was reported stolen from a Frankfort Street parking lot. On Jan. 16, identity theft was reported at a home on Silver Maple Court. On Jan. 14, a citation/summons was issued at Kroger for the shoplifting of $24.35 worth of clothing. On Jan. 17, a citation/summons was issued on Lexington Road for possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. On Jan. 14, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Paddock Drive that damaged a Ford Edge. On Jan. 13, theft by extortion involving a Walmart money order worth $1,800 was reported on Old Frankfort Pike. On Jan. 12, a Tonneau bed cover worth $300 was reported stolen from a home on Venetian Way. On Jan. 7, a generator and three propane tanks worth a total of $1,940 were reported stolen from McKinney Avenue at Midway Station. On Jan. 6, a red Hyundai push mower worth $400 was reported stolen from a storage facility on Fielding Drive.

Fire Reports

City Firefighters made two EMS assists and installed a car seat in one vehicle from Jan. 12 to Jan. 18. On Jan. 13, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries on Lexington Road and a rubbish fire on Boston Drive. On Jan. 15, they responded to a smoke odor on Ryan Court. On Jan. 16, they responded to a fire alarm activated by a malfunctioning sprinkler system at Margaret Hall Manor and a natural gas leak in a Kilmer Drive home. On Jan. 17, they responded to a fire alarm in a home on Ashmore Avenue. On Jan. 18, they responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at U.S. 60 and Paddock Drive.

County Firefighters made two EMS assists from Jan. 12 to Jan. 18. On Jan. 12, they responded to a fuel spill on U.S. 60 East. On Jan. 13, they responded to a vehicle fire on U.S. 60 East at the Bluegrass Parkway. On Jan. 17, they responded to vehicle accidents on U.S. 60 West and U.S. 60 at the Bluegrass Parkway.
