Police Reports Versailles police responded to one motor vehicle accident involving injuries, one non-injury accident, two domestic-related complaints and made four arrests. On Oct. 20 at 9:32 p.m., a Toyota Tacoma driven by Brenton C. Meekins, 31, of 342 West Domino Court, was on Hifner Road near McCowans Ferry Road when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a tree and utility pole. He was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. On Oct. 24, police made an arrest on Frankfort Road for possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance and traffic charges. On Oct. 22, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on the westbound Bluegrass Parkway. On Oct. 22, police made an arrest at a Kuhlman Boulevard industrial site for possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl). On Oct. 24, a Ford F-550 worth $60,000 was reported stolen from a farm on Pisgah Pike. On Oct. 23, a pressure washer and other items worth a total of $2,290 were reported stolen from a home on Oak Street. On Oct. 26, police made an arrest on East Leestown Pike for trafficking in marijuana and other charges. On Oct. 23, a lawnmower, tiller and other items worth a total of $1,169 were reported stolen from a home on Troy Pike. On Oct. 15, menacing was reported on Church Street. On Oct. 22, an earring and ring set in diamonds worth $70,000 were reported stolen from a home on Quail Run Road. On Oct. 21, a coffee maker, microwave and other items worth $550 were reported stolen from a office building on Crossfield Drive. Fire Reports City Firefighters made six EMS assists and installed three car seats from Oct. 20 to 26. On Oct. 20, they responded to a fire alarm at the Woodford Humane Society. On Oct. 21, they responded to a false alarm at Versailles Baptist Church. On Oct. 22, they responded to a vehicle fire at a gas pump at the Circle K on Yellow Jacket Drive. On Oct. 24, they responded to a carbon monoxide incident in a house on Maple Avenue and a smoke detector activation in a house on Mildred Street. On Oct. 25, they made a forcible entry on Douglas Avenue for an unresponsive person.

County Firefighters made one EMS assist from Oct. 20 to 26. On Oct. 20, they responded to a vehicle fire on Bluegrass Parkway East and a vehicle accident on Hifner Road. On Oct. 22, they cleaned up the roadway on I-64 East and responded to a vehicle accident on Bluegrass Parkway West. On Oct. 24, they responded to a false alarm on Berry Avenue caused by a dirty smoke detector and a vehicle accident on Mundys Landing Road that claimed the lives of two people.
