Paul Wesley Coomes Jr., 52, of Versailles, husband of Melissa Coomes, died Sunday, March 27, 2016. Born Dec. 1, 1963, in Versailles, he was the son of Henrietta Mason Coomes and the late Paul Wesley Coomes Sr. He was a plumber for Fred Meyers Plumbing and graduate of Lafayette High School, playing for the Lafayette Band in 1982. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Courtney Renee Coomes, Lexington. A brother, Jim Coomes, is deceased. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, officiated by Fr. Dan Noll. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
