Mildred Fryman Stewart, 101, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Taylor Manor Nursing Home in Versailles. Born June 12, 1915, in Nicholas County, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Fryman. She was a registered nurse. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Stewart, a longtime Farmers Bank officer, and a sister, Geneva Earlywine. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Daniel) Pierce, Texas, and Alice (Jack) Kain, Versailles; three grandchildren, Jason (Emily) Pierce, Julianne (Ben) Bash, and Jessica (Tim) Smith; six great-grandchildren; a large step-family; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
