Thank you Sandy Jones
As past and present members of the Woodford County Board of Elections, we would like to take a moment to publicly recognize and thank Woodford County Clerk Sandra V. “Sandy” Jones for her many years of dedicated service to the people of Woodford County. Her retirement marks the close of a remarkable chapter in our county’s civic life, and it is only fitting that her contributions be acknowledged with the appreciation they deserve.
We are writing this letter together and on behalf of all who have served in our roles to underscore the broad bipartisan support and respect that Sandy has earned through her integrity, her professionalism and her steady leadership over many years. In a time when confidence in the electoral process can feel fragile nationwide, Sandy consistently demonstrated how elections can and should be run with fairness, transparency and trust.
As chair of the Board of Elections, Sandy led with experience and clarity, guiding our county through changes in election law, technology and public expectations. Her leadership helped safeguard the confidence Woodford County voters have in the process, ensuring that every election was conducted with precision and accountability.
Throughout her tenure, Sandy worked closely with an extensive network of deputy clerks, poll workers, community volunteers and county and state partners. She trained new members, supported longtime colleagues and fostered a culture of respect and cooperation that transcended political lines. Her ability to bring people together for the good of the county stands as one of her most meaningful contributions.
We have been fortunate to serve alongside Sandy on the Board of Elections and have seen firsthand the depth of her commitment. Woodford County is better today because of her service, and her legacy will continue in every election held to the standard she set.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Sandy Jones for her decades of dedication to this county and congratulate her on a well-earned retirement.
