BURGER MANIA WINNER! Taqueria Becerra, located at 127 North Street W in downtown Versailles, took the honors as the “Best Burger in Woodford County” for 2026 and received the much-desired Golden Burger Trophy, which is displayed in the restaurant. The amazing food (and burger) makes the restaurant a culinary must, but the trophy, designed by the Woodford Chamber of Commerce C.E.O. Emily Downey, is worth a visit too. The winner was declared from a month-long contest that included three rounds of voting online, in which 23 Woodford County restaurants participated. Accepting the congratulations from the prize committee are, from left, Elisa Becerra, Leidi Reivas, Servando Becerra Sr., Olga Perez, Servando Perez Jr. and Danny Lopez. (Photo by Scott White)
