The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 200 women to the Kentucky Women’s Conference on Tuesday, April 14, held at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System headquarters. Centered around the theme “Strength and Sisterhood,” the event delivered a full day of inspiration, connection and empowerment.

Attendees from across the region gathered for a dynamic experience that blended professional development with meaningful networking. The conference featured an engaging lineup of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, local vendors and interactive experiences designed to uplift and equip women in all stages of life and career.

The keynote address was delivered by Kenya Young of Louisville Public Media, who shared her reflections on leadership, resilience and the importance of amplifying women’s voices.

The other featured speaker, Crinda Francke of ExecuTrain, which offers a host of professional training programs, shared her experiences in navigating life’s transitions and the courage it takes to pivot toward new opportunities. She encouraged women to embrace change with confidence and purpose.

Several breakout sessions offered practical tools and insights across a variety of topics, including women’s health, financial well-being and effective communication. A forward-looking session on communications and artificial intelligence provided attendees with a perspective on how emerging technologies are shaping the way women lead and connect in today’s world.

Beyond the programming, the conference created an atmosphere that encouraged networking and collaboration. Guests enjoyed breakfast, lunch and afternoon appetizers, along with signature cocktails and mocktails.

Local Woodford County vendors showcased a wide array of products and services, further highlighting the strength and talent within the community.

“This conference is a reflection of the incredible women in our community,” said Emily Downey, president and C.E.O. of the Chamber. “Seeing over 200 women come together to learn, support one another and celebrate their journeys is exactly what ‘Strength and Sisterhood’ is all about.”

She added, “With sell-outs and relevant programming, the annual Kentucky Women’s Conference continues to grow as a signature event for the Chamber. One that leaves a lasting impact on all who attend.”
