Ken Scott
I’m a local farrier/blacksmith working in the Thoroughbred industry. I specialize in foals and sale yearlings. Working on farms, I have come to appreciate our farm working community and our diverse agricultural land. I first came to Kentucky on a wrestling scholarship to attend the University of Kentucky. I am a deacon and sing in the choir at Pisgah church, and I volunteer at the Mentors and Meals after-school program. I have enjoyed living here and being a part of this community, and I plan on being here for many years to come.
The conservation of our historic landscape is one of my top priorities; I believe that our responsibility is to look after each other and maintain and protect our surroundings for the future. We live in this beautiful part of Kentucky, and it deserves our care and attention.
I am running for magistrate in District 8, and ask for your vote.
Poem
We don’t walk in each other’s shoes every day
Our day-to-day lives often cross as we work and play
Volunteering doesn’t make your shadow larger; it makes your heart bigger.
Working together makes our lives brighter and bad news dimmer
In Woodford County, our happy paths are the same
I would be proud to be your magistrate with all its fame
I appreciate this chance to work for you, sharing happiness and good news. I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas and having a chance to walk in your shoes
