THE WOODFORD COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL gym was transformed into an old Hollywood set to give the students a feeling of glamour at their Prom on April 25. This year’s theme was “Reach for the Stars.” (Photo by Elaine Bailey)
FORMAL ATTIRE was the order of the day for the 2026 WCHS Prom. These decisions require careful planning and consideration. Declan Cosby and Kylie Martine succeeded in complementary red attire! (Photo by Elaine Bailey)
THE McKINNEY TRIPLETS didn’t have to drive far to pick up their Prom date! All juniors, brothers Jayden and Jalen, took their sister, Jada, the other triplet, as their date, allowing them to pick her up at their home. (Photo by Aunt Latoya Wilson)

The theme for the 2026 Junior/Senior Prom at Woodford County High School was “Reach for the Stars.” The organizing committee chose a Hollywood glamour theme for students attending the April 25 event to create lifelong memories with a walk down the red carpet into the high school.
After dates were made, groups organized, dresses and tuxes purchased or rented, the gym decorations set, photographs at family homes and nice dinners all around Woodford County and even Lexington, the students descended on the high school for a night of dancing to a D.J., with a light show and video, celebrating life. And for the seniors, it was the last big event before graduation.
Here are just a few photographs from the night. Maybe they will bring back memories of your own Prom.
