LINDA POPP

By Linda Popp

District 8 is the largest farming district in our county, and I’m proud to have been a part of it, in some way, throughout every season of my life.

Rural communities deserve a voice that understands long days, unpredictable seasons and the challenges that come with making a living off the land. I’m committed to listening, showing up and making decisions that reflect the values and needs of the people who live and work here every day.

I’m proud to be running for magistrate in District 8, and I believe my background in both public service and small business gives me the experience needed to serve our community well. I previously had the honor of serving as a magistrate in Midway before returning home to District 8, and that experience gave me valuable insight into how local government works and how important it is to listen to the people you represent.

In addition to public service, I’ve spent many years working in business. I was a financial representative with AIG Financial Network. I also owned and operated Country Classic here in Woodford County, a gift shop, restaurant and catering business. Running a small business taught me a great deal about budgeting, hard work and the challenges that local families and business owners face every day.

These experiences have shaped my commitment to serve District 8 with integrity, common sense and a strong work ethic.
