In the story “Former EMT files lawsuit against Woodford County alleging sexual harassment by three male co-workers,” on Page 1 of the Aug. 6, 2026 edition of The Woodford Sun, the Sun incorrectly stated that, based on the records we obtained from Woodford County under the Kentucky Open Records Act, neither Brandon Bowman nor Nathan Shouse were disciplined for the sexual harassment complaints made against them by Naomi Branham. This is not correct. The records of both Bowman and Shouse evidence that each was given a written “1st Warning” on Aug. 3, 2025. Both Bowman and Shouse signed the document titled “Employee Warning Notice.” Bowman did not file a written response. Shouse did file a response stating, in full: “A conversation was had over Snapchat with employee always playful and jokingly in nature. The conversation was always two-sided, and no intent of any malice or solicitation was intended. In regards to the specific listed allegations that include money for sexual favors, the conversation was never mentioned over any social media platform or in person. Furthermore, over my 15-plus-year career at multiple agencies working with both male and female partners, I have never had so much as even a warning or complaint of sexual manner. I have worked with Naomi (Branham) multiple times over her tenure, and we have always had a professional shift and atmosphere. She has asked several times for advice during paramedic school. These shifts she worked with me, she signed up for voluntarily,” signed Nathan Shouse.

In the story “Midway City Council keeps same property tax rate,” on Page 5 of the Aug. 6, 2026 edition of The Woodford Sun, the correct rate for the 2026-2027 fiscal year should have stated that it is .04 (4 cents) per $100.

The Sun regrets the errors.
