Nancy “Tissie” Greathouse Downing, widow of Samuel Downing, died Aug. 11, 2026.
Born Jan. 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John W. Greathouse and Mary Allen Wombwell Greathouse.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Ristaneo, Robert Ristaneo and Quienton “Trey” Walker, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John W. Greathouse Jr., David Greathouse and Edward Greathouse.
She is survived by her brother, Allen Greathouse; sister, Margaret G. Claus; sisters-in-law, Penny Greathouse and Buffy Greathouse; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
