THE GOOD BITE mystery is over! Russell Booker, a Versailles native, opened her new restaurant at 172 S. Main Street after a complete rehabilitation and renovation of part of the old Woodford Sun space, thanks to building owners the Coyle Brothers, led by Matthew. The Good Bite is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day but Wednesdays and Sundays. It is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays and closed on Wednesdays. Offerings include breakfast items, featuring an array of scrumptious “toasts,” and lunch items, including several sandwiches like good ol’ bologna and cheese and tofu banh mi, salads like a classic Nicoise, edamame, bowls and a selection of nutritious smoothies. “I want The Good Bite to be a community hub, so everyone who lives here feels like it’s almost a second home, where they’ll feel comfortable and see faces they know,” Booker said. “We focus on great ingredients, simple preparation and beautiful, delicious food.” From left, Booker, Leah Hemenway (kitchen lead), Ignatia Speray, Anahi Garcia, Rachel Redwine, William Lynch and Ashley Serber.
