I’m Harvey Couch and I’m running for Midway City Council. Midway is a special place with a rich history, a vibrant downtown, and neighbors who genuinely look out for one another. My wife Rachel and I decided to put down roots here nearly 20 years ago and have raised our two sons here.  We have experienced firsthand what it means to live somewhere that genuinely makes your life better.  I am running for City Council because I love Midway and want to help keep it on track.

My career at the Frankfort Plant Board has given me nearly 20 years of experience working inside a Special Purpose Government Entity, experience that translates directly to city council work. I understand fiscal responsibility, how to build consensus, and how local government operates from the inside. I have also served on the Northridge Estates Homeowners Association board for eight years, including as president since 2023, which has taught me a lot about listening to neighbors, solving real problems, and being accountable to the people you represent.

If elected, I will focus on three priorities: investing in our parks, improving street safety and walkability, and making sure Midway’s infrastructure is ready for the future.

I am not running because I want a political career. I am running because Midway has given my family so much, and I want to give back. I humbly ask for your vote and your support.

Let’s keep Midway on track.

Harvey Couch

Candidate, Midway City Council
