As a 19-year Kentucky resident who has called Versailles home for the last decade, I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Versailles City Council. Since moving here, I have dedicated myself to local volunteerism and community leadership. These pursuits include being a board member for the Woodford Educational Endowment Foundation since 2017, a member of the WCPS Superintendent’s budget committee for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years, and a member of Southland Christian Church’s Helping Through Him ministry for almost three years. These experiences have shown me the incredible power of community action, and I believe I have even more to offer our city.Â
I recently retired following a successful 40-year career in finance, where I specialized in trading and risk management within the energy industry. This milestone gives me the vital time and energy required to fully commit to public service. My extensive financial background will allow me to serve as a highly productive, fiscally responsible member of the City Council.Â
If trusted with your vote, my priorities will include supporting practical local business initiatives, executing smart zoning policies, managing our rapid growth while proactively addressing affordable housing, and confronting the city’s escalating traffic congestion.Â
True representation requires active listening. I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas, questions, and concerns regarding the future of Versailles. I want to be your advocate and your voice on city council. To achieve that, I ask for your vote. Please let me know what I can do to earn your trust and serve you. Reach me at joe4cc@hotmail.com.
Thank you.
