Montgomery Avenue speeding
In last week’s “From Our Files,” the “25 years ago” section led with “Residents of Montgomery Ave. appeared before the Versailles City Council Tuesday evening to address the speeding of motorists on their street.”
Oh, my goodness, I was there.
We have been asking for help and relief for 25 years. How many times have I personally gone to the city council?
A survey by the local police department showed that 1,800 cars travel Montgomery Avenue Every Day!
This is a two-block residential street! I understand no one wants so much traffic on their street, but if the connections approved by P&Z (Planning and Zoning) were made, the traffic would be shared. I will think about this when I vote.
