The Versailles-Midway-Woodford County Planning Commission, on a 5-3 vote with the commissioner from Midway Rich Stein one of the nay votes, approved a change to the Comprehensive Plan that promotes and encourages the extension of Falling Springs Boulevard to connect with Frankfort Road/U.S. 60 near Midway Road. The change now goes to the Versailles and Midway City Councils and Fiscal Court to approve or reject it. The proposed project has been extremely controversial and the subject of several public meetings, including ones involving the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
