Paul A. West, 82, husband of Bette Pope West, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017. He was born in Georgetown, KY on January 18, 1935, and was the son of late C. B. West and Alice Hayden West. Mr. West was a member of Journey Church and was a truck driver for OK Trucking. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Dawn Wells; Paula (Billie) McIntyre, Versailles; Cheri (Steve) Wiggins, IN; Patti (David) Simpson, Lexington; his son K.P. West; his sister Sarah Ritchey, Lexington; and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Rev. Randy Nation will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the start of service at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Simpson, Steve Wiggins, Robert Coleman, David Simpson, II, Jeremy Simpson, Elijah Taylor, and Joe Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Tip Whitus, Bill Henson, Ben Taylor, Owen Roberts, Bobby Brock, Gene Birch, Jim Chism, Gayle Duggins, Jack Lewis, Dick Lemaster, and Joe Lambert.
