THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY and Woodford County’s Love Lights a Tree will host a special program on Monday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Versailles Presbyterian Church, 130 North Main Street, to celebrate the community’s fundraising work for the American Cancer Society. This year’s special guest speaker is cancer survivor Victoria Partridge. The ceremony will feature the lighting of the “Love Tree” and a candlelight service to remember those lost to cancer and celebrate survivors. The Woodford County High School string quartet and Southside Elementary School choir will provide music for the evening. Woodford County remains one of the few Kentucky locations sponsoring a Love Lights a Tree program, an annual tradition for more than 40 years.
