THE GOOD BITE, downtown Versailles’ newest restaurant located at 172 S. Main Street, celebrated its summer opening with an official Woodford Chamber ribbon cutting on Oct. 16, which drew a big crowd who enjoyed lots of goodies prepared by Chef Leah Hemenway. The diner and deli offer breakfast and lunch with a variety of handmade sandwiches, salads, soups and bowls. Owner and Woodford County native Russell Booker, who seems to always be there with a friendly smile and a recommendation from her own collection of recipes, was joined by her parents, DeeDee and Duncan Booker, along with elected officials Judge-Executive James Kay, Versailles Mayor Laura Dake, Woodford County Property Valuation Administrator John Paul Coyle, Woodford County Conservation District Chair Michael Duckworth and her landlords, Andrew, Matthew and Jordan Coyle.
