Community Bible Study

Mentors & Meals
Middle Schoolers – Do you need to catch up on NTI work or need a place to get homework help from a really cool high school or college mentor? M&Ms has 10 spots open right now – free homework help, after school snacks, meals, and engaging activities. Available Monday-Thursday until 5:30 pm. Must enroll to attend! Midway Library
The Midway Museum and Midway Library present “Conversations Commemorating 100 Years of Black American History” at the Midway branch of the Woodford County Library, 400 Northside Dr., Midway, on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. This will be led by Midway Museum’s author Eugenia Johnson-Smith with special guest Debora Logan Lawson, owner and CEO of Lextropolis Magazine.

Open House
Join us for an open house commemorating 100 years of Black American history on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1 - 3 p.m. We will explore 100 interesting facts about Midway’s African American residents and our African American history exhibit. Refreshments will be served.

Midway Toastmasters

National Vietnam War
Veterans Honor Train Ride
National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29 honors the men and women who served and sacrificed during the longest conflict in U.S. history. There will be a special Honor Train Ride to honor Bluegrass Vietnam Veterans and Vietnam Era Veterans on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4pm at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, 175 Beasley Road, Versailles. Up to 50 Vietnam Veterans + a friend/helper will be provided a free Boarding Pass for the ride. At the conclusion of the ride, spectators & patriots will show their appreciation and support for these and all our Veterans. Rotary Club of
Woodford County
The Rotary Club of Woodford County is adding a “meet and greet” at the Keeneland Track Kitchen on  the first Friday of each month from 8 - 9 a.m., beginning Feb. 6. This is in addition to the monthly third Tuesday lunch/speaker meeting, which remains at Versailles Brewing Company from 12 noon - 2 p.m.

Survivors of Suicide
The Woodford Survivors of Suicide Loss Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the community room (5th floor) of the WesBanco building. The address is 100 United Drive, Versailles. Please contact Julie Renner at 859-421-7697 if you have any questions or would like to attend. 

Versailles Kiwanis Club
The club’s monthly meetings are held the fourth Tuesday each month at 11:30 a.m. at Callie’s Homestyle Restaurant.

Woodford County Chamber of Commerce
A CPR hands-only training will be at the WCHS gym on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9-11 a.m. This event is free and open to everyone. You can learn the basics of hands-only CPR in under 30 minutes and receive an unofficial certificate of completion.
March 1-31 is the annual Burger Mania in Woodford County. Mark your calendars now and look for the offerings from many of the county’s restaurants! Punch cards to check off the ones you try will be available all over, including the chamber offices on S. Main St. The burgers are offered March 1 through March 15, and then the community will vote over the following three weeks when the “Best Burger in Woodford” is announced on April 1.

The Woodford County Democrats meet at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month in the comunity room of the courthouse. All registered Democrats are welcome. 
The Woodford County Democratic Women’s Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Versailles library.

The Spring Gardening Workshop will be at the Woodford County Extension Office on Saturday, March 28. Check our Facebook page, The Woodford Sun and flyers posted around town for details and how to register.
The Earth Day Tree Giveaway will be at Falling Springs Park on Saturday, April 18.
The  Annual Plant Sale at Falling Springs Park on Saturday, May 9.

Woodford County NAACP
We meet every second Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Woodford Library Community Room. All are welcome.

Woodford County Republican Party
The Woodford County Republican Party meets the first Monday of every month.
Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at Versailles Brewing Company, 513 Marsailles Rd.

Woodford County
Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Woodford Theatre
Woodford Theatre presents Steve Martin’s comedy THE UNDERPANTS! Peformances will be March 20, 21, 27, and 28, and April 3 and at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees will be March 22 and 29 and April 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting our box office Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. or by calling 859-873-0648.
