Community Bible Study
Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Come with a “thirst.” Bring a Bible, pen, paper and your coffee.
The study will be held at the Versailles Presbyterian Church Welcome Center, 130 N. Main St. on the first and third Saturdays at 10 a.m. with Minister Larry Blackford, lblackford.magistrate@gmail.com, 859-492-4075.

 

Mentors & Meals
Enrollment is now open for rising sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students for the 2026–2027 school year.
The free after-school program meets Monday through Thursday at 160 Lexington Street and includes homework assistance, after school snacks and meals, enrichment activities, and bus transportation from Woodford County Middle School
Parent orientation will be September 10 at 5:30 p.m.
The first day of the program will be September 14, with pickup between 5:15-5:30 p.m.
Space is limited, and enrollment is required to reserve a spot.

Midway Toastmasters
Midway Toastmasters meets every Monday at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Little Memorial Library on the Midway University campus. Meetings are open to the public and visitors are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the club at nick@safetyreloaded.org or 859-397-5068.

 

Parkinson’s Exercise & Support
Woodford County offers free classes and support for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. Join us and experience exercise, encouragement, and fellowship.
Classes are at The Cross Center at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, 480 Duckers Road, Midway (behind the church with ample parking). Please check in at the front desk for all classes.
Drums Alive is on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Beat the drums to the rhythm of music, movement, and laughter.
Punch Out Parkinson’s is on Tuesdays from 2:30-4 p.m. Enjoy fun, easy exercise, fellowship, and activities designed to keep you moving.
Monthly Support Group is on the third Thursday of each month with snacks and fellowship from 6-6:30 p.m. and a support group meeting from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bring a snack to share.

Rotary Club of Woodford County

Survivors of Suicide
The Woodford Survivors of Suicide Loss Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the community room (5th floor) of the WesBanco building. The address is 100 United Drive, Versailles. Please contact Julie Renner at 859-421-7697 if you have any questions or would like to attend.

WCHS Class of 1966 Reunion
We are planning a celebration of our 60-year reunion on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 4-8 p.m. at The Woodford Club (formerly Woodford Hills Country Club), 3495 McCowans Ferry Rd.
The menu will be chicken tenders, best burger sliders, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans and cookies. A charcuterie board will be at each table. A cash bar will be available. The cost is $35 per person and the dress is casual.

Woodford County Retired
Teachers Association
Woodford County Retired Teachers Association is having its annual picnic meeting Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. We will gather at the pavilion at Versailles United Methodist Church, 230 Paynes Mill Road. Members are asked to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert and school supplies. Meat and beverages will be furnished. All retirees are welcome to join us for food, fun, and fellowship.

 

Woodford County Republican Party
The Woodford County Republican Party meets the first Monday of every month.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. at Versailles Brewing Company, 513 Marsailles Rd.

 

Woodford County Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Centerpoint Health at 9 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
