Blood Drive
The Kentucky Blood Center will have a blood drive at the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 29 from 12 noon – 5 p.m. It will be in the Cross Center Aerobics Room. The church is located at 480 Duckers Road, Midway,
Donors will receive a limited-edition “Only You Can Prevent Blood Shortages” T-shirt (while supplies last) as a thank you for doing their part to ensure a healthy blood supply.
Community Bible Study
Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Come with a “thirst.” Bring a Bible, pen, paper and your coffee.

Friendship Fest
Strengthening Transformations Inc. will have their 7th Friendship Fest on Saturday, July 25 from 2-5 p.m. at the Versailles Downtown Market and Entertainment District, 150 Rose Hill Ave.
This event provides over 800 backpacks with school supplies, food, fun, inflatables and games, to reiterate the importance of togetherness. We also offer free haircut and hairstyle vouchers for the kids, along with a “Look Good, Feel Good” hygiene bag (toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, dental floss, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash and/or soap) to encourage self care. We also have community partners setting up in our Vendor Village, including Centerpoint Health-Versailles, The Lions Club Diabetes Project, Visions Screenings, Walgreens, and The Woodford County Health Department.
Jack Jouett House
On Saturday, August 8 from 2-4 p.m., we will be hosting an exhibit by Mel Hankla, titled “Courage of the Commonwealth: Battles and Campaigns in the War of Independence.” The exhibit will feature artifacts from the Revolutionary War era and explore Kentuckians’ role in the fighting of the war and founding of the country.
Midway Toastmasters

Parkinson’s Exercise
& Support
Woodford County offers free classes and support for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. Join us and experience exercise, encouragement, and fellowship.
Classes are at The Cross Center at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, 480 Duckers Road, Midway (behind the church with ample parking). Please check in at the front desk for all classes.
Drums Alive is on Mondays from 3:30–4:30 p.m. Beat the drums to the rhythm of music, movement, and laughter.
Punch Out Parkinson’s is on Tuesdays from 2:30–4:00 p.m. Enjoy fun, easy exercise, fellowship, and activities designed to keep you moving.
Monthly Support Group is on the third Thursday of each month with snacks and fellowship from 6:00–6:30 p.m. and a support group meeting from 6:30–7:30 p.m. Bring a snack to share.

Unity in the Community
Unity in the Community – a worship service bringing people from all walks of life together – is Friday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Huffman Pavilion at Falling Springs. Free food is being provided, and those attending can bring a lawn chair.

Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
