Community Bible Study

Mentors & Meals
Important dates: April 30, starting at 5:15 p.m., M&Ms will be hosting a Parent and Youth Cafe titled “Let’s Taco About It – Screens, Substances, and Social Media.” Dinner and participant gifts will be provided to all registered guests 11 years and older. You must enroll to attend. Go to the Mentors & Meals Facebook Page to find the QR code. On May 1-2, students are encouraged to attend the Book Club/Overnight at Life Adventure Center. On May 14, we will have the eighth grade celebration and it will be the last day of school year for M&Ms students. On June 9, the summer meet ups begin (noon-5 p.m.). Midway Toastmasters

National Vietnam War
Veterans Honor Train Ride
National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29 honors the men and women who served and sacrificed during the longest conflict in U.S. history. There will be a special Honor Train Ride to honor Bluegrass Vietnam Veterans and Vietnam Era Veterans on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4pm at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, 175 Beasley Road, Versailles. Up to 50 Vietnam Veterans + a friend/helper will be provided a free Boarding Pass for the ride. At the conclusion of the ride, spectators & patriots will show their appreciation and support for these and all our Veterans. Primary Debates
There will be a debate held between candidates in the May 19 primary election for Congress and the Senate at the Woodford Theatre on Wednesday, April 1, at 6:30 p,m. All are welcome.
Rotary Club of
Woodford County
The Rotary Club of Woodford County is adding a “meet and greet” at the Keeneland Track Kitchen on the first Friday of each month from 8 - 9 a.m., beginning Feb. 6. This is in addition to the monthly third Tuesday lunch/speaker meeting, which remains at Versailles Brewing Company from 12 noon - 2 p.m.
Survivors of Suicide
The Woodford Survivors of Suicide Loss Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the community room (5th floor) of the WesBanco building. The address is 100 United Drive, Versailles. Please contact Julie Renner at 859-421-7697 if you have any questions or would like to attend.

Woodford Co. Extension Master Gardeners
The Woodford County Extension Master Gardeners Monarch Waystation Grant Program is accepting grant applications through Friday, April 17 at 4:30 p.m. If you are wanting to attract pollinators to your yard, especially Monarch, it is time to apply. Each grant includes six native pollinator plants and four milkweed plants. 2026 applications are available online at https://tinyurl.com/bp7rw2am or can be picked up at the Woodford County Cooperative Extension Office, 184 Beasley Dr.

High School Winterguard
Community Show
WCHS will host their community show on Thursday, March 26 in the Woodford County Auxiliary Gym (old high school gym). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. They are performing this season’s routine before they head to the TriState Marching Arts Championships the following weekend.There will be a raffle and merch tables (cash only) as well as baked goods and pizza for sale.

Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
