Blood Drive
The Kentucky Blood Center will have a blood drive in the Cross Center Aerobics Room at the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. All donors will receive a two-pack of socks (while supplies last). The church is located at 480 Duckers Rd., Midway.
Mentors & Meals
M&Ms is now enrolling for Fall 2025! This free program provides homework help, mentoring from caring high school and adult volunteers, and a healthy meal each day – equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in middle school and beyond.

The election of board members and officers for the Woodford County Historical Society will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the society’s building at 121 Rose Hill Avenue. After the election, folks are invited to remain for a “show and tell” program. Members are asked to bring small items of a historical nature to share and talk about. All are welcome.
Woodford Community Plant Party
There will be a free, family-friendly event hosted by community members at the Rolling Oven Taproom the last Sunday of every month at 1 p.m., year-round. Woodford County Remembrance Coalition
The Woodford County Remembrance Coalition will hold a “teach-in,” at the main location of the Woodford County Public Library on Main Street in Versailles on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:00 p.m. The program will focus on the work of the coalition, and its partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative, well-known nationally for working in the field of racial justice and conciliation from its headquarters in Alabama. The coalition will discuss its plans and goals for Woodford County. All are welcome.

Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
