Midway Toastmasters
Midway Toastmasters meets every Monday at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Little Memorial Library on the Midway University campus. Meetings are open to the public and visitors are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the club at nick@safetyreloaded.org or 859-397-5068.

Newcomers and Friends of Lexington
A meet and greet will be held at the Rose Hill Inn on December 16 at 11 a.m. This is a free event, and RSVP’s are not required. It is an opportunity for women living in Woodford County to get involved and make new acquaintances. Anyone, whether new to the area or long-time residents, are welcome to attend.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Woodford County “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” and Callie’s Homestyle Restaurant invite you to select Christmas stockings from their Christmas trees between Dec. 1 and Dec. 14. There are two options, either select boots and toys for girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 5 at WC Head Start in Versailles and return wrapped to Callie’s before Dec. 14. Or, select a stocking to provide a gift and /or toy for children (ages 1-17) for our local WC Detention Center residents. Do not wrap these gifts, and return them to Callie’s before Dec. 14.

Rotary Club of
Woodford County
The Rotary Club of Woodford County will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Versailles Brewing Company at noon in their private room. Our speaker this month will be member Heather Plunkett, Assistant Director of the Woodford County Library. The library has a lot to offer that most of us don’t know about. Heather has been with the library for 17 years and is a graduate  of WCHS. Come join us and hear how the library has something for you and those around you!
Rotary is about fellowship, service, and making a positive impact right here  in our community – and your voice matters. Feel free to pass this along to others who may want to be a part of this great new addition to Woodford County.

Survivors of Suicide
The Woodford Survivors of Suicide Loss Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the community room (5th floor) of the WesBanco building. The address is 100 United Drive, Versailles. Please contact Julie Renner at 859-421-7697 if you have any questions or would like to attend. 

Versailles Kiwanis Club
The club’s monthly meetings are held the fourth Tuesday each month at 11:30 a.m. at Callie’s Homestyle Restaurant.

Woodford County Chamber of Commerce
On Thursday, Dec. 11, the non-profit roundtable will be at the library at 9:30 a.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, the Santa Shuffle 5K and Kids Dash will be at 11 a.m. in Midway.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, there will be free carriage rides and carolers in Midway.

Woodford County Democrats
The Woodford County Democrats meet at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month in the comunity room of the courthouse. All registered Democrats are welcome. 
The Woodford County Democrats Women’s Club meets the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Versailles library.

Hand to Hand: second Monday of the month at 10 a.m. 
Busy Bees: second Monday of the month at 6 p.m.
Circle of Friends: third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.

Woodford County NAACP
We meet at 10 a.m. every second and fourth Saturday in the Woodford Library Community Room. Everyone is welcome.

Woodford County Republican Party
The Woodford County Republican Party meets the first Monday of every month.
Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at Versailles Brewing Company, 513 Marsailles Rd.

Woodford County Roots & Heritage Festival
This year our country will celebrate the 38th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In observance of this day, Woodford County Roots & Heritage Festival, Inc. committee will celebrate Dr. King’s birthday by hosting its 16th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day breakfast on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at First Christian Church, 160 Lexington St., Versailles. The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and the program will bein at 9:30 a.m.

 

 


Woodford County
Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Woodford Theatre 
Woodford Theatre presents ANNIE! Performances are December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 7:30 p.m., with three Sunday matinees on December 7, 14, and 2t at 2 p.m. Tickets may be reserved in advance by calling our box office at 859-873-0648 or visiting from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
