Mentors & Meals
Middle Schoolers – Do you need to catch up on NTI work or need a place to get homework help from a really cool high school or college mentor? M&Ms has 10 spots open right now – free homework help, after school snacks, meals, and engaging activities. Available Monday-Thursday until 5:30 pm. Must enroll to attend! Midway Toastmasters

National Vietnam War
Veterans Honor Train Ride
National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29 honors the men and women who served and sacrificed during the longest conflict in U.S. history. There will be a special Honor Train Ride to honor Bluegrass Vietnam Veterans and Vietnam Era Veterans on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4pm at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, 175 Beasley Road, Versailles. Up to 50 Vietnam Veterans + a friend/helper will be provided a free Boarding Pass for the ride. At the conclusion of the ride, spectators & patriots will show their appreciation and support for these and all our Veterans. Rotary Club of
Woodford County
The Rotary Club of Woodford County is adding a “meet and greet” at the Keeneland Track Kitchen on the first Friday of each month from 8 - 9 a.m., beginning Feb. 6. This is in addition to the monthly third Tuesday lunch/speaker meeting, which remains at Versailles Brewing Company from 12 noon - 2 p.m.
Survivors of Suicide
The Woodford Survivors of Suicide Loss Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the community room (5th floor) of the WesBanco building. The address is 100 United Drive, Versailles. Please contact Julie Renner at 859-421-7697 if you have any questions or would like to attend.

Burger Mania kicked off on Sunday, March 1, and continues through March 31, at several restaurants in Woodford County. Informational flyers can be picked up at the chamber offices on S. Main St., participating restaurants, or by scanning the QR code in the advertisement in this week’s Sun.
On Tuesday, March 10, at 8:30 a.m., “Coffee at the Library” will have a program on Women’s History in Woodford County at the Woodford County Library.
On Wednesday, March 11, at 8:30 a.m., “Women of Woodford” will meet at the Cookie Cart, located at 445 Lexington Rd.
On Thursday, March 12, at 9:30 a.m., “Nonprofit Roundtable” will have a program on affordable housing at the Woodford County Library.

Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
