Jack Jouett House
Greetings from the Jack Jouett House! We are having an event on Saturday, July 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Three Seasons Building in the District (105 Rose Hill Ave). The speaker is Mack Cox. Two lectures will be presented, each running about 30 minutes. The first explores chairs that were produced at the Kentucky penitentiary in Frankfort from 1805 to 1937 and how an Italian chair influenced these Kentucky chairs from about 1815 until after the Civil War. The second lecture documents the decorative inlay vocabulary of 42 furniture groups made in Kentucky from about 1792 to 1820.
Midway Toastmasters

Parkinson’s Exercise
& Support
Woodford County offers free classes and support for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. Join us and experience exercise, encouragement, and fellowship.
Classes are at The Cross Center at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, 480 Duckers Road, Midway (behind the church with ample parking). Please check in at the front desk for all classes.
Drums Alive is on Mondays from 3:30–4:30 p.m. Beat the drums to the rhythm of music, movement, and laughter.
Punch Out Parkinson’s is on Tuesdays from 2:30–4:00 p.m. Enjoy fun, easy exercise, fellowship, and activities designed to keep you moving.
Monthly Support Group is on the third Thursday of each month with snacks and fellowship from 6:00–6:30 p.m. and a support group meeting from 6:30–7:30 p.m. Bring a snack to share.

Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.
