Tierney and Reed win girls’ WCI tournament
The Lady Mat Jackets had a terrific showing at the Woodford County Invitational Monday, Dec. 29. With 30 teams slated to compete over the two-day annual tournament, the action was everywhere with three mats in the WCHS gym, one in the wrestling room and another in the cafeteria. The girls’ tournament wrapped up Monday, with the boys’ still running at the time of print. Jackets go 1-2 at Lexington Catholic holiday tournament
The Woodford County High School boys’ basketball team had a busy week with three games in as many days at the White, Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic High School.
